Tayara means 'airplane' in Arabic.
This blog is about airplanes and anything that involves them.
It is mostly about Commercial Aviation, but also General and, occasionally, Military.
During my travels around the world I take pictures and video as a hobby of everything and anything related. I also include some acquaintances’ contributions from time to time, giving them proper credit.
Please, feel free to comment or suggest on my posts.

Swift Air Boeing 737-400 N440US / 2015.05.09
MIA (Miami International airport. Miami, United States)
Swift Air Boeing 737-400 N440US has been around for over 25 years. It was originally sold to USAir (then USAirways), and was even stored at the Mojave desert for more than five months in 2002-2003. Since September 2014 it operates for the Phoenix-based charter carrier. Seen here coming back from one of those charter flights, in this case from HAV (Havana). Later this same day it departed back to Cuba, and back to the United States.
Airport Highlight: TUN (Tunis Carthage) / 2011.03.13
TUN (Tunis Carthage airport. Tunis, Tunisia)
Airport Highlight: TUN (Tunis Carthage).— The main hall at the check-in counters area has a different appeal from any other airport I've seen before, even in the Arab World. The airport started operations back in 1948 and is named for the city of Carthage, located East of the airport.
Orient Thai Boeing 737-300 HS-BRI / 2014.12.07
HKT (Phuket International airport. Phuket, Thailand)
I thought this airline was not around anymore until I saw this one coming. Its security record in the past few years has not been quite good and it has taken its toll on the carrier. Orient Thai (โอเรียนท์ ไทย แอร์ไลน์) Boeing 737-300 HS-BRI was previously owned by China Southwest (中国西南航空公司) and Air China (中国国际航空公司).
British Airways Boeing 777-200, Ryanair Boeing 737-800 EI-EBL / 2009.12.19
BLL-GRO—Flight FR9003, Billund-Girona
So glad we came across this British Airways Boeing 777-200 (and I was ready with my camera) as we were heading South and the other aircraft was initiating descend after a night crossing over the North Atlantic ocean. Seen from seat 30F on board Ryanair Boeing 737-800 EI-EBL.
Delta Boeing 767-300ER N174DN / 2008.12.07
ATL (Hartsfield-Jackson International airport. Atlanta, United States)
It's always nice to remember this short lived Delta livery, the so called 'Flowing Fabric' or 'Wavy Gravy'. Delta Air Lines Boeing 767-300/ER N174DN was painted with the new scheme the next year, 2009, and retrofitted with winglets in early 2010. Seen here getting ready for yet another transatlantic flight.
TAM Boeing 767-300ER PT-MSY / 2015.08.02
MIA (Miami International airport. Miami, United States)
Straight from BSB (Brasília), TAM Boeing 767-300/ER PT-MSY about to land as Flight JJ8042. This same aircraft inaugurated the carrier's service from Brazil to YYZ (Toronto Lester B. Pearson) in March this year, and operated for only six month with Chilean LAN before being purchased by TAM.
