Tayara means 'airplane' in Arabic.

This blog is about airplanes and anything that involves them.

It is mostly about Commercial Aviation, but also General and, occasionally, Military.

During my travels around the world I take pictures and video as a hobby of everything and anything related. I also include some acquaintances’ contributions from time to time, giving them proper credit.

Please, feel free to comment or suggest on my posts.

Delta Air Lines Boeing 747-400 N661US / 2016.06.09

ATL (Hartsfield-Jackson International airport. Atlanta, United States)
<Piece of Museum>
Delta Air Lines N661US was the first Boeing 747-400 ever built. It was originally delivered to Northwest Airlines on December 1989 and was painted with the Delta livery after the two airlines merged in 2009. On September 2015 she was retired from service and was moved to the Delta Museum grounds on April 30 2016, 10 days before I took this picture while she was still waiting to be placed at her final stand.
