Tayara means 'airplane' in Arabic.

This blog is about airplanes and anything that involves them.

It is mostly about Commercial Aviation, but also General and, occasionally, Military.

During my travels around the world I take pictures and video as a hobby of everything and anything related. I also include some acquaintances’ contributions from time to time, giving them proper credit.

Please, feel free to comment or suggest on my posts.

Air France Boeing 747-400 F-GITA / 2007.05.14

CCS (Simón Bolívar International airport. Caracas, Venezuela)
Air France Boeing 747-400 F-GITA is the first /400 Jumbo delivered to the French company, if I'm not mistaken. It had a sad ending in 2011 after an incident landing at PPT (Pape'ete). I flew it once on the route CDG (Paris Charles de Gaulle)-HKG (Hong Kong Kai Tak) in 1997, and it was a frequent visitor to CCS (Caracas), where I took this picture as it was getting ready to fly back home.
