Tayara means 'airplane' in Arabic.

This blog is about airplanes and anything that involves them.

It is mostly about Commercial Aviation, but also General and, occasionally, Military.

During my travels around the world I take pictures and video as a hobby of everything and anything related. I also include some acquaintances’ contributions from time to time, giving them proper credit.

Aerosucre Boeing 727-200/Adv(F) HK-4544 / 2015.02.12

BOG (El Dorado airport. Bogotá, Colombia)
<Airport Action>
Sad to share this one today. Aerosucre Colombia Boeing 727-200/Adv(F) HK-4544 crashed yesterday during take off at PCR (Puerto Carreño), killing five of the six crew members on board. I pictured her at BOG after landing, less than two years ago. This aircraft first operated for Air Jamaica as 6Y-JMA, then was converted to freighter and flew for Kitty Hawk Aircargo as N281KH before joining the Colombian company.
