Tayara means 'airplane' in Arabic.

This blog is about airplanes and anything that involves them.

It is mostly about Commercial Aviation, but also General and, occasionally, Military.

During my travels around the world I take pictures and video as a hobby of everything and anything related. I also include some acquaintances’ contributions from time to time, giving them proper credit.

Austrian Boeing 777-200/ER OE-LPB / 2015.11.25

MIA (Miami International airport. Miami, United States)
Happy to catch Austrian Airlines OS097 arrival from VIE (Vienna) today, since it usually lands on 8R or 12. I think strong winds had something to do with this change. Boeing 777-200/ER OE-LPB ('Heart of Europe') first operated with Lauda Air (1998-2005) and was painted with the Austrian Airlines livery after the two carriers merged. The airline only started its first ever non-stop scheduled service from South Florida to Austria on October 16 as part of the airport's strategy to have more direct links to Europe. VIE is the 14th destination to the Old Continent from MIA.
